GENOCIDE DECLARED 'KOSHER' IN ISRAEL

I was absolutely shocked to read the words of Israel's former Chief Rabbi, Mordechai Eliyahu.. who "ruled that there was absolutely no moral prohibition against the indiscriminate killing of civilians during a potential massive military offensive on Gaza aimed at stopping the rocket launchings"....
No moral prohibition?????? What ever happend to 'THOU SHALT NOT KILL'???
It was reported that Eliyahu made this ruling in a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert citing biblical authority. The letter was published in a weekly journal distributed in synagogues throughout Israel. The report states that "According to Jewish war ethics an entire city holds collective responsibility for the immoral behavior of individuals. In Gaza, the entire populace is responsible because they do nothing to stop the firing of Qassam rockets."
Eliyahu's son, Shmuel Eliyahu, himself chief rabbi of Safad, amplified his father's comments, stating: "If they don't stop after we kill 100, then we must kill a thousand." He added, "And if they do not stop after 1,000 then we must kill 10,000. If they still don't stop we must kill 100,000, even a million. Whatever it takes to make them stop."
'Whatever it takes to make them stop'????? Ever hear of negotiations? Ever hear of recognition of the government elected by the Palestinian people? Ever hear of ending a 40 year old occupation and the genocidal policies used during that occupation???
It will be interesting to see Olmert's reaction to this hate filled letter and ruling. Will he dare criticize it and risk shaking up his already shaky coalition government by alienating the extreme section of the ultra orthodox, or will he act in accordance with international laws dealing with genocide?
How will other countries respond to this 'ruling'? You can be sure that if it was a Muslim religious leader that muttered those hate filled statements about Jews he would certainly be banished from traveling to the United States.
If this 'ruling' becomes practice. If the racist theocracy becomes the new government direction in this land.... show me the first shop that sells pork roasts.... that will be the menu for Shabbat dinner tonight.
It's obvious that their Bible isn't mine....

You are right, if it had come from a muslim that sort of comment would've been all over the place now, being screamed hystericaly from the rooftops, proving how barbaric the muslims are.

No, not a Nazi tactic, per se. Draconian reprisals have been common throughout the history of irregular warfare. What are you supposed to do when regular troops are attacked by illegal irregulars who don't respect the rules and conventions of organized warfare?

Are you saying they aren't already practicing this? The habitual murder of children, the habitual destruction of homes, a campaign who's sole purpose seems to be to make as many Palestinians simply leave or die as possible, to expand the borders of the Jewish state, as has been happening for the past 60+ years.
It is important to distinguish between the Jewish people and the Zionists who are setting this genocidal policy.

No other country on earth would tolerate what Israel tolerates. Israel is not and has never been an occupier. Israel has handled the terrorism of its beligerant neighbor with kid gloves. The United States starts a war in Iraq and kills 600,000 Iraqis and does not miss a step. If the United States were being hit by rocket fire the United States would hit back hard and would not hesitate to kill the entire population from where the rockets were coming, if that is what it took. The declaration that it is not immoral to keep reacting to rocket attacks until they finally stop, even if it means killing more and more people is already an established practice in most places on earth. It is not a Jewish concept. It is common sense. When Arabs kill Arabs as in Lebanon and in Gaza there is no moral outrage. When terrorists from Palestine send unguided missiles into Israel with the intent of only killing innocent civilians there is no moral outrage. The Jews are held to a separate standard from the rest of the world. That is because Jew hatred is so widespread in the world. The world in general feels it is ok to kill Jews. Israel is the most moral country on earth. There is no justification for any claim by the so called Palestinians for one inch of Israeli land. They need to move to whatever Arab country will take them and Israel should be allowed to live in peace.

How you seem to forgot how Israel was created? The same terrorism you speak out against was used to force the Palestinians out of their land. For those who are unaware of the real founding of Israel read THE GUN AND THE OLIVE BRANCH by David Hirst.
The myth of Israel moral nature and her victim status is based on lies and distortions. America will never understand because the American media is more sympathic to the Israelis than the Israelis are.
Take for instance the Arafat issue. Israel would not negotiate with Arafat and his FATAH faction. They were not reliable partners for peace so Israel said at the time. Arafat dies...what does Israel do...nothing but continue with their assasinations and wanton aggression on a helpless people basically pogroms. But if you have recently picked a paper or watched any international news, you would have heard how Israel is now supplying FATAH with cash and arms. Why? Because HAMAS looks like they might not be corruptable.

The point is that for someone who believes that he belongs in God's beloved nation and the punishment for the disbelievers is death then for sure Israel is the most moral country of the world...
