ISRAEL PEDDLING FLESH TO ATTRACT TOURISTS

(Ben Heine © Cartoons)
With the political situation being as it is in Israel, tourism has been down for the past few years. People have been booking their flights elsewhere since the start of the Second Intifada costing Israel millions of dollars in lost revenues to the tourist industry, the country's biggest moneymaker. The 'war' in Lebanon last summer and the present crisis in the Occupied Territories are also keeping those tourists away.

So a new advertising technique is now being used to get tourists to come back.... and shed the image of a war zone and portray it as 'The Biggest Lil Whorehouse in The Middle East'...

Watch THIS video from CNN to 'see it all' (for mature audiences only).

Pretty pathetic if you ask me!
It would be more profitable to end the occupation and work towards peace... then tourism would flourish again.

This is an interesting piece actually. Most of the sex workers in Israel (and there are alot) are not "Israeli." This is pretty silly though. Every Israeli woman is a "former member of the IDF" because military service is compulsary. So honestly, they could have just done it as "hot chicks of Israel" instead of including the military element. that's the sick part.

Anon... the sick part is the exploitation of women.
For a government to officially sanction such a campaign is a sign of how bankrupt they really are, and I'm not talking tourist dollars.

Okay, I'll supply the tabloid headline you're all dying to say:

`Get Your Tanks Out For The Lads'

...now if they can just remove the human remains out the background from the last airstrike, should have the makings of a viably tacky ad campaign...
