CONSEQUENCES OF CALLING APARTHEID BY ITS NAME

Image 'Copyleft' by Carlos Latuff
A ROSE IS A ROSE IS A ROSE~~ EXCEPT IN ISRAEL

What happens when a former US President refers to Israel as an Apartheid state?
He gets called an antisemite! Simple and to the point...

What happens when a Jewish Professor at a Catholic University says the same thing?
He is denied tenure.

Now, what happens when an Israeli journalist says the same thing at an International Conference?
He is denied the right to speak.

Just how far are the supporters of zion willing to go to hide the truth? Every attempt they have made recently has made headline news.... there is no way they can continue denying the FACT that Israel is an apartheid state...

The following YNet report deals with the latest incident...

Zionist Federation cancels Haaretz journalist

Columnist Danny Rubinstein reportedly likens Israel to apartheid South Africa

Yaakov Lappin

The Zionist Federation of Great Britain has cancelled a scheduled appearance by Haaretz columnist Danny Rubinstein, after he reportedly likened Israel to apartheid South Africa during a UN conference in Brussels on Thursday.

According to a UN report, Rubinstein said that "Israel today was an apartheid State with four different Palestinian groups: those in Gaza, East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Israeli Palestinians, each of which had a different status."

The report quoted Rubinstein as condemning the security fence, saying that "even if the wall followed strictly the line of the pre-1967 border, it would still not be justified. The two peoples needed cooperation rather than walls because they must be neighbors."

On Friday, the Zionist Federation released a press release, saying "Rubinstein's participation in this weekend's Zionist Federation conference in London has been cancelled by mutual agreement."

"The ZF regularly holds meetings where a wide variety of views are expressed, and while there is no question that Rubinstein has every right to express his views about Israel, it was mutually agreed that his participation in the Zionist Federation conference became untenable," the statement said.

Andrew Balcombe, Chairman of the ZF, said: "Criticism of Israeli policy is acceptable. However, by using the word 'apartheid' in a UN conference held at the European Parliament, Danny Rubinstein encourages the demonisation of Israel and the Jewish people. I believe he was naïve to attend the UN conference."

Ynetnews was unable to reach Rubinstein for comment.

Adam Mouchtar, Director of Bnei Brith's European Union Affairs Office, attended the conference, and said he was "surprised and disappointed" by Rubinstein's comments.

Earlier, he told Ynetnews: "This is a conference of Israel-haters," adding that delegates were clearly guided by a single agenda: "To prove that Israel is a racist apartheid state, and therefore Israel should be boycotted internationally, as South Africa was."

Rubinstein was also slammed for his comments by the Geneva-based UN Watch organization, headed by Hillel Neuer, which said in a statement, "That a leading Israeli journalist - presented by the UN as a member of the Haaretz editorial board - would participate and grant legitimacy to a Soviet-era enterprise born out of the 'Zionism is Racism' canard, whose sole aim is to assault Israel morally, legally and financially, was disturbing enough. But that he would full-throatedly join the jackals, calling Israel an 'apartheid state,' is a scandal."

You complain that poor Danny Rubinstein "is denied the right to speak."

Let me get this straight. A guy who calls Israel an apartheid state has a right to be a featured speaker at a Zionist Federation celebration of Israel's 60th anniversary?

Rubinstein is an editor and columnist of Haaretz and has the right and power to say anything he
pleases.

Don't you think it takes some chutzpah for him to fly on the World Zionist Organization's tab in order to condemn the Zionist enterprise?

Do you think Kahane followers have the right to be invited to Palestinian celebrations, and use the funds of Palestinian supporters in order to fly to a convention and condemn the Palestinian cause as racist?

you didn't see the attack of israelis on UK Journalist writing in the UK.. ah... it seems the die hard zionist supporters and propagandists are mobilized to silence and rubbish any one dares to speak the truth about Israel.
an example of this, is the excellent Jounalist John Pilger, see the attack on him in the link below.

By the way, the avarage comments on NS articles is less than 10, unless it's about Israel.

Jimmy Carter IS an anti-semite.

If you strive for freedom, peace and justice, at least for Gentiles, you are going against the principles of Judaism, which is all about gaining privledge for Jews over all other people. That makes the Jews dislike you and therefore classifies you as an anti-semite.

Be proud of the label, only honest, peaceful, freedom and equality loving people earn it.

I don't understand why journalists get all fired up about the famous "Apartheid" word. Every country on Planet Earth who has a government, media outlets, Law courts and schools, is guilty of Apartheid. This is due to Lord Rothschild ordering the entire world to "Truncate their Prepositional-Phrases in their Languages, or no money would be placed in ANY banks worldwide!!
If you don't have any Prepositional-Phrases in your speech or writing, then you don't have ANY facts. Don't have any facts, you have any Truth.....End of Story!!

Wanna kill the messenger, Ydiot ArogantNet? Fine. Let's do.

Yaakov Lappin is merely one of countless agents for zionist damage-control in Israel and the USA — Wolf Blitzer being the most visible one in the States. Earlier this year, Lapdog Lappin wrote another Ahmadinejad mistranslation piece which got picked up and perpetuated by the US mainstream, and now, he writes the current one-sided hit piece quoting solely from the anti-Rubinstein/pro-apartheid side of the argument. He begins and ends the piece with demonization of the truthteller, using no quote from the other side, much less a neutral voice (whatever that might be).

I have found Ynet and the Jerusalem Post, for the most part, to be concealers of Israeli inhumanity — much in the way the Wall Street Journal, New York Sun, CNN, Fox, and innumerable others here in the States protect US-Israeli neocon criminality from root-striking scrutiny. They all protect the Israeli apartheid regime from the truth with propagandistic smokescreens, omission and lies.

Joseph Goebbels and his Goebbelian goons used similar techniques and did an adequate job of justifying and concealing the Third Reich's use of selective-collective punishment of Jews, Communists and Gypsies. How proud, then, Ynet, JPost, WSJ, and others must feel when they're able to sufficiently demonize those who constructively criticize today's regimes of tyranny and death.

I cosign what DesertPeace said: "If the zionists are afraid of [the truth], something is wrong. As for the 'followers' of herr kahane... may they follow him straight to hell!"

Israel is not practicing apartheid. What Israel is doing is more properly termed GENOCIDE.

Israel is an Apartheid State (see that WALL, see the maps) AND a Genocidal State (see the ongoing Holocaust campaign against Palestinians).

Israelis are anti-semites. The IDF are Nazis.

Screw Isra-hell!

If this is the consequences of calling apartheid by its name, then what could possibly be the consequences of calling ethnic cleansing and/or genocide by its name, because apartheid is only a gentle word for what the reality is. Ethnic cleasning by any other name such as forced eviction or voluntary transfer is still ethnic cleansing, and trying to destroy the very fabric of Palestinian society is genocide no matter in what manner it is carried out, and demographic threats and maintaining the Jewish character of a state has a ring of something far more sinister to come.

Alan Cabal beat me to it. "Alan Cabal said...

Nothing less than ethnic cleansing.... but probably better termed genocide. Anyone who reads Dr. Pappe's history of Israel's expulsions and massacres of Palestinians and then tracks Israel's history subsequent to those events know this to be true.

The United States, however, in terms of sheer numbers of innocent civilians murdered over the yearsis much worse. Couple that with the willful ignorance and self-centeredness of most Americans and you've got one Evil Empire.
